Finding classic RPG game late 90s or early 2000s

This game PC is similar to Baldur’s Gate, you can play up to 4 characters but you only start with 1.

The graphics look a little DOS but decent graphs.

You need to find the other characters as you play, if your character dies it’s permanent but you can continue with the other characters.
There’s multi characters you can choose to start with there’s a sword fighter and a ranger with a fake eye that looks like mad eye moody from Harry Potter.
The first character you rescue is a wizard from a castle guarded by multiple big monsters, there’s a trick with this RPG, if you leave the screen monsters disappear.

The game has an overhead view like Diablo, it’s real time combat not turn base.

I’ve been trying to find this game for almost two hours and I’m pretty sure it exist hahaha.

I thought the title of the game had “hill” or something in it, I can't remember.

This post is like a month old, so not sure if you've found the game, but was it maybe Dungeon Siege? There was also Icewind Dale. It's been a looooooong time since I've played either, so don't exactly remember the first missions.
