Dosgames RPG

Post by wardrich »

ok here's my next Question.

I want to have it so that when the hero pushes an object over a button, a a hidden staircase appears. How do i get this to happen?

1)I have an event that changes switch

"<change switch: var[0047:Stairs] Switch on>"

its 'Below Hero'

and what i want to happen is that if you step on it, the stairs will appear, but the second you step off, they go away. The object is to push an object over the event so that it keeps the 'button' pressed and the stairs stay there. I know that is really confusing, but thats about the best i can discribe it

Thx
Richard

I know what you mean. Make the rock an event, and give it a name. Try. You'll figure it out. I'm sure it is possible.

NOOOOO i almost had this done : NEVER HIT ESCAPE IT CLEARS THE POST :'(

anyway here i go again

I have the rock command

<Play SE : Earth 4>
<Move Event : This event - face hero - walk away from hero>

What i need is for the event to recognize the rock so that it will 'push down' the button

Think of it like this. You have a clicky pen but the spring is broken. When you press the button, the tip comes out, but the second you lift your thumb, it shoots back in the pen again. The only way to write with it is to tape the button down to the pen.

The hero is like your thumb. The stairs are there as long as the hero is touching the button, but the second he moves off it, the stairs disappear. The only way to get the stairs to stay is to 'tape' it. The rock is the tape. You need to push the rock onto the button.

My problem is one way i can't get the rock to go on the button. The other way, when the rock goes on the button, nothing happens.

I hope this is a little bit clearer

You will just have to reprogram it another way. That's all.
