Post by AguestsorryDx »

Hello,so it's been exactly 2 years il searching for this game.
I think it was released between 2004-2007.
The game had Habbo-like graphics(I remember the characters were like Habbo's.)In the game you had to push boxes/cubes so you can walk.I asked
a lot of forums and they tell me "google is your friend" but i found nothing.I would REALLY appreciate some help :)

I don't know about Habbo, but those games are usually called sokoban / soko-ban variants. MobyGames has a list you could look through to see if anything looks familiar.

Or if that's not the right kind of gameplay, maybe you remember something more that will help us?

Non-sokoban long shot: Mr. Robot?

Did you play it online? Was it a flash game?

Did the box-pushing gameplay look similar in the sokoban games? Was it a similar kind of puzzle game?

Ah, so less sokoban "get the crates to the right place" and more "build staircase/platform or fill holes" style gameplay? That makes sense.

I'm out of ideas, I know there were lots of push-block-fill-hole-make-stairs puzzle games, but that wasn't really my genera beyond Mr Robot, Head over Heels, and Sokoban. I'd usually recommend a list of similar games if I could find one, but the "puzzle solving games" at MobyGames is almost 8000 games long. :) Narrowing it down to Windows games, is still 3000+ games. I put a few such links at the end of the message, jic.

And you can try browsing through the MobyGame.com list of Popcap Games or the UVList.net Gamehouse games. Both those sites are good resources, try searching for all 3 companies at both sites and see what you come up with.

Other than that, not the games you're looking for, but Crusader: No Remorse & Crusader: No Regret both let you blow up boxes with rocket launchers and do other violent damage to the isometric environment populated with soldiers and robots. Might be cathartic if you can't find the constructive push-boxes-into-useful-positions game. :D

Other lists, and you can change search parameters on most/all links:
http://www.mobygames.com/browse/games/a ... le-solving
http://www.mobygames.com/browse/games/w ... house-inc/
http://www.mobygames.com/browse/games/w ... ist-games/

Oh, they do that vanishing thing, don't give up. The game databases are far from complete and accurate in their listings just better than nothing. :)

Hopefully it will trigger memories in someone else. Anything else you can remember about the game or where you got it, anything that might help? Specific puzzles, or more about gameplay?

Well if this can help,we were in the sky,and there was holes in the shape of cubes,so we had to push the crates so we can walk through them.
Sorry this is what i remember.

Imma say in this post everything i mentioned about the game and everything i remember, hopuefully this will help:

-We were in the sky,the characters were like Habbo's,we had to push crates to fill holes,to make stairs, bridges etc...
-It was also like Isometric Sokoban (google it)
-It IS an isometric sokoban.
-I got it from a CD with a bunch of games in it.
-I remember i had a trial, and to play the game the interface was something like Reflexive's trial.
-I think it was released by one of these: Gamehouse,Reflexive arcade,Alawar,Popcap
-I think i got it with Traffic Jam Extreme,Superstar Chef,Hamsterball and Insaniquarium Deluxe
I hope this helps

In the sky / in the clouds might be very helpful. I remember a mention of a game that looked like that recently, but I'm not coming up with the name or mention at the moment. We'll see if it pops up shortly.

For now I'm just seeing Shattered Planet and Netstorm, but those are unlikely and aren't the screenshots I recall.
