Old futuristic dogfighting game?

Post by peraxx »

A long time ago, my dad gave me a CD which had 3 games (demos?), they were Mech Commander,Motocross Madness(?) and the game I'm looking for.

As far as I remember the first mission was on a snowy place, you started from a hangar and started fighting other ships. You have 3 lives and when you lost them orange-ish particles would come out of your hangar and the game was over. THE GAME WAS FULLY 3D

PD:The CD had a black face on it, with half of the face fading into white. There was 1 screenshot for each game.

PD2: Sorry for my bad english. :shame:

EDIT: It wasn't Quake 2, it was Mech Commander :P

And do you recall if you flew from inside the cockpit, behind the plane, or in a top-down view?
Anything you can remember might help.

No, it was sci-fi based. And I now remember that at least 1 mission was in a snowy place with mountains. You played from behind the aircraft

Based on the release time of 1998 for the other two titles on the demo disk,
I'd make a guess at 'Incoming' or a similar game clone called 'Barrage'.

Both had single-level demos released for them at the time, but I haven't searched for them.

Not much to see about the latter but I found a review here:
