old side scrolling rpg i have looked everywhere pls help

now me and my father and brother had a game awhile back may have been windows 3.x or 95 but you played as a man with orange hair black jacket white shirt and you cast magic with like jewels or orbs and you fight gian buglike ant people and beastmen and you and there was some kind of creation system where you use seeds or gems of some kind you dig up from the ground using little creatures called reco diggers or miners and they came in different types and died if you used them to much hard to remember all the details because i havent played it in so long please i have looked everywhere
