True true, but why it's a classic is BEYOND me if most of it is just a load of crap!...
Just makes me angry is all...I'm really tired of all the recent Russia Bashing I've been getting/seeing/hearing....

I've been on a J.D. Salinger binge lately. Catcher in the Rye, Franny and Zooey, and I'm two stories into Nine Stories, now. I love how nothing really happens in his books - they would make terrible movies - but the characters are so multidimensional that they're still great stories.

I'm not currently reading a book at the moment, I'm posting on this thread, however I'm about to start reading the sigma protocol by Robert Ludlum.

Who reads? Isn't that why they make movies?

Right now I'm reading The Art of Deception by Kevin Mitnick... and a PHP5 book.

Haven't started reading it yet, though I probably will within the next few days.

The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer.

It's one of the summer reading books I'm required to read. I should probably pick out the other one soon...

Also school hasn't ended yet. This is our last week.

I feel your pain mate, I'm supposed to be reading more than 150 books this summer...

But until I finish dodging those, I'm reading Pandora: The Ascension Factor by Frank Herbert and Bill Ransom!

Currently reading "Come Let Us Reason: An Introduction to Logical Thinking" by Norman Geisler and Ronald Brooks.

It's intended as an introductory text, but as someone with little formal philosophy training besides the "Intro Philosophy" class that I took during my first semester at university eight years ago (damn I'm old) I'm finding that I need to read thru the chapters more than once to make sure I've got it!

I've finished reading the book I posted in this thread before, but have finished it a couple weeks ago and need another book (any book) for when school starts up again. We do two book reports with those books we read first thing. :<

Any suggestions?

Something from the Dune series of from the Pandora series(both written by Frank Herbert).

That, or you could read "How to code Windows for Dummies" :P

Sure, The Art of Deception by Kevin Mitnick. It's all about social engineering and getting people to do things for you without them even knowing. One of the best books I've ever read.

Thanks, unfortunately it has to be a fictional story of some sort so I'll use Larry's recommendation for an option for my book report book, however will check out The Art of Deception as well for a future book report, but more likely just as a reading book. :)

Someone I know online showed me an online book called John Dies at the End. So far it's an interesting read!
