What other games and consoles do you play?
When not traversing down memory lane with dos games what other games do you play? Big fan of rpgs and fighting games (Guilty Gear X2 and Kof 2002). Own a ps2 as of now and looking into investing for an xbox sometime.

The consoles I own:
Sega Master
Sega Genesis
Sega CD
Sega 32X
Sega Saturn
Sega Dreamcast
Microsoft Xbox
I also have a Game Gear and Game Boy Color. I also have the Namco "TV Games" controller, which is a joystick that hooks directly to the TV and lets me play old Namco games.
I plan on getting a Game Cube pretty soon.
I'm not going to list my games, it would take too long. I would say I'm a pretty hardcore gamer.

I remembered that I do have a semi-complete list of game I own at IGN. Here's the list. Some of the older PC titles listed are actually for Apple II and some
I have no life.
No. The only really good exclusive game for it was Knuckles' Chaotix (which some people don't like).JMS wrote:That Sega 32X had a lot of hype when it was brand new, I never did buy one, but was it excellent?

The Game Axe was an unofficial portable system made by a Taiwanese company called "Redant" a bunch of years back. It plays Famicom games and with an adapter also plays NES games. Which sounds pretty cool until you consider how big NES games are, and how ridiculous it is to have a portable gaming system (a bit larger than a Game Gear) with one of those NES carts (plus an adapter!) sticking out the back
More info on the infamous Game Axe:
(including pictures of the box, which I also have ... notice they show a picture of Tomba for Playstation on the box whereas the system obviously cannot play such games)

When I bought mine, they were pretty tough to find on the web. Then shortly thereafter there were tons of 'em on eBay ... now it seems that they may be rare again! Maybe I should sell mine
The game.com is a failed black&white portable from Tiger Electronics, the guys that used to make all those crappy one-shot handheld games like this. One plus for the system is that it has a touch screen ... many, many years before the DS And it has built-in Solitaire (not bad using the touch screen) plus some other built-in stuff. The problem is the games for it were mostly quite bad; the framerates are incredibly choppy and the sound is 1-channel (so only one sound, including music, can be playing at once).
I only own one game for the game.com (besides the builtin stuff): Duke Nukem 3D! ... But its soooo horrible. For one thing, it's not 3D. Even though it makes it look like it on the box. You can't turn around. You can only move forward, backward, and strafe. And you move in blocks, not fluidly, and so do the enemies. It pains me to even remember it. I remember reading a review of it once on the web but I can't find it now.

That's the game.com "pro" model, which I have 'cept mine is blue ... which was pretty much the same as the regular one except a bit smaller and differently designed.
Oh yea, find stores that sell game.com games at vgstores.com
