Your plans for Christmas

Post by Santhosh CHRiS »

This Christmas I will be with my whole family my mom, my dad, and bro after 6 years. Our last Christmas together was in Singapore way back in 2005. Last Christmas together in India was 9 years ago. Really looking forward to it :)

What are your plans?

I'm flying home tomorrow, surprising the crap out of my family who are all convinced I'll be in Japan until January.

Well, since Christmas is on a Sunday, it's my day off, so I'll sleep in.

Then I'll head to the dining facility for lunch and feed some hungry troops...(it's tradition for leadership to work the serving line on holidays)

Then I come back to my room, eat some Chinese food, and wait until the evening to call my family (gotta love that eight-hour time difference).

Yeah, I spent Thanksgiving here as well...and the 4th of July in Iraq.

We used to get rocketed about twice a week in Iraq, but the Iraqis didn't bother on the 4th of July...how inconsiderate! I could have gone for some fireworks...

I spent the day at work telling people to call back on Monday or Tuesday so we could get them in touch with their dealerships to fix their vehicles... Such a waste of a day, but double-time-and-a-half pay was definitely nice.

Yep, making babies is fun, but then you have to provide for your family.

....And when they're FINALLY grown up and old enough so that you can kick them out in the world their @#@#@# offspring calls you granddad and hold up their empty hands every holiday.
