Can someone please answer me this question:

Why the hell is the download speed on HOTU so freaking slow?
I am getting max 11 kb/s !!!

That's not bad at all, on peak houres you hardly can get 5kbps ...
:D

Seems server is capped down, something about cost/conn/bandwith ... whatever.

It's been so the last ..what...? 2 .. 3....4 years?

Nothing new. Old news.

But it's sometimes interesting to see how their webpage is building up ... :)

Some months ago you even couldn't fully load the gamepages, something with the ad server being too slow or such .....

I was dling Imperialism 2,thanks God i found a torrent.
Would be a pain in the ass waiting several hours for 40Mb t odl,with 10kb/s.

Kinda shame, ain't it? I mean, I heard lots of people offered to buy HOTU off Underdogs, and not only pseudo-shady figures(read: some of the serious members of the forum, can't remember his/her name atm, tho) but she just wouldn't sell out, even if HOTU were to flourish.

Guess in her(Underdogs') mind, it's still her baby site...

I agree. They have all those freeware games on there and some of the freeware games are great.
