Milk bags [MK II]
That's what our 2 litre coke looks like...
Milk comes in big square-ish bottles when it's 2 litres. Stupid Canadians and their "bags" of milk.

According to Wikipedia (and therefore it must be reliable): "1 litre Bags [of milk] are starting to appear in supermarkets [in Australia], but have not yet proved popular." So beware it's coming for you next!
(Yeah bags of milk is kinda dumb IMHO too ...)

There were square pigs in that crazy movie.
Was a pretty good movie, I could go on houres about that one, if only I could remember what the movie was about, but I forgot.
Darned memory.
Just to say, square pigs exist, so square cows probably too, and square cows would have square udders and give squarish milkproducts, no?

I guess that's at least semi-logical?
Yeah Wally, they really do put their milk in bags. Silly Canadians.
And the funniest part about the silly-milk-bags is that once they are cut open, they put them in milk holders so that they can stand up like a normal bottle!! So silly. When Wardrich reads this he should post the picture he sent me ages ago of a bag of milk in a milk holder.
emmzee - How strange! I haven't seen any yet, but i will keep my eyes open. We have wine in bags...but that's about all.

haha, I have a way cooler one now... it's black. I have no idea what ever happened to the yellow one.
Also, what's so bad about milk bags? They're practical and efficient...
1. They take up less space than cartons, as you can stack stuff on top of them.
2. They are more durable than cartons
3. If you drop an open one, the mess won't be nearly as big. (comparing a bag to a carton both with the same amount in them)
4. Dropping one will also mean that you won't potentially lose ALL of your milk.
ps: I thought we'd had a debate like this before.

This is fair. I mean, for shopping centres, transport and stuff.wardrich wrote: 1. They take up less space than cartons, as you can stack stuff on top of them.
Nar. Wrong. They're both made of plastic, only bottles are harder plastic. Harder plastic is less likely to be damaged.wardrich wrote: 2. They are more durable than cartons.
How do you figure that? At least with bottles, if you drop them and leave them on the ground, there is a certain amount that wouldn't be able to escape because the bottle neck is higher than the milk-level. In a bag, all milk will want to escape.wardrich wrote: 3. If you drop an open one, the mess won't be nearly as big. (comparing a bag to a carton both with the same amount in them)
I think you'd lose more from a bag of milk than a bottle.wardrich wrote: 4. Dropping one will also mean that you won't potentially lose ALL of your milk.
PLUS, if you're only going to put it into a milk holder anyway...why not just buy a bottle?? It ends up taking up the same amount of space with the only real difference being that you can't re-seal it??

EDIT:
I just had this conversation on MSN with Wardrich. Might help clarify...
GAMER says:
you and your silly milk bags.
wardrich says:
hehe
GAMER says:
i wrote a rebuttal.
GAMER says:
though as i posted it i realised you used the word "carton"...
GAMER says:
do you mean plastic or cardboard?
wardrich says:
aren't cartons made out of that waxy cardboard?
GAMER says:
-shrug- i don't use the word "carton". i just assumed it meant "non-bagged" milk.
GAMER says:
i guess carton would be the waxy cardboard, yeh.
GAMER says:
ah well. my rebuttal is about bottles.

It just sucks if it's your last bag that you drop.wardrich wrote:I think you'd lose more from a bag of milk than a bottle.wardrich wrote: 4. There isn't a "milk-bags are silly" option?

Meh, I dunno, we've got milk bags, and they're not that bad(that and one might argue that they are 50 US cents cheaper than cartons)
Besides I see no point for milk bag holders. Phbrt, I've grown with these things, you take one or two bags, you slice it open, you dump the milk in a pot, and if you don't trust the brand, boil it. Then serve!
I must confess tho', now that the prices ain't what they used to be, I'm getting milk in a carton mehself. Easier to drink from!

Well yeah. It is kind of weird.Mr. Worm wrote:Hey, here's a thought. How 'bout we stop drinking milk after puberty? We're the only animals that drink milk past that, let alone after early childhood.
Personally, I hate milk in any forms.
I'm on some crazy diet now that means no milk anyways. So no milk for me.
Do you eat cheese and other dairy products??
