No, my actual post is
like her dad was from a Germanic country and her mom was Japanese.
"Like", meaning "as if" or "similar to." I've never met her parents.

Give it up, Dogbreath, we're teasing.

But she had something 'Japanese', didn't she?

(like there are people from every ethnic group imaginable here, but we also have "native Americans" who have their own distinctive racial characteristics and culture)

Cool...

So, Dosraider, you've made babies before... how long was the wait time in the factory? (they're made in Korea, right? That's what it said on the tag of a shirt this little kid was wearing the other day)

*ANNOUNCEMENT*

I received my HSC results today. :D

For all you other country citizens, the HSC is sort of like the American SAT...only we get tested on course content, not just "general" knowledge type stuff. ie. We learn things about particular subjects and texts and sit a 2-3hour test for each subject we've chosen...

It's used for University entrance. :)

So. Without further ado, my results are as follows:

Drama -- 91/100 (band 6)
English -- 85/100 (band 5)
Eng Ext 1 -- 43/50 (band E3)
Eng Ext 2 -- 41/50 (band E3)
Maths -- 83/100 (band 5)
Art -- 90/100 (band 6)

My UAI...that is my Universities Admission Index...is 90.80!
Bearing in my that 100 is the highest UAI you can get and that only 11% or something of NSW HSC students got above 90...
:bday:

So i did really well. A 90+ UAI means that i can do pretty much most of the courses available. If i go to my local uni i get an additional 4 points, and because i've been really sick this year i also put an appeal in which means that if i really want to do a course that has a uai of 98, i'll still be able to get in maybe because i'm allowed an extra 4 points lee-way because of the whole not being able to achieve because of sickness thing.

So yes. In conclusion. I am great. And really happy. And really proud. So i thought i'd share with you guys. :)

I'm planning to do a Bachelor of Communications at my local uni starting next year. :)

I found this on the internets.

Which means it's true...

"Sad fact

If you consider that there has been an average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq Theater of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of 2112 deaths, that gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000.

The firearms death rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000.

That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in our Nation's Capitol, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation, than you are in Iraq.

Conclusion: We should immediately pull out of Washington D.C."

Pretty "funny" if it is actually true...

Comments?

...and by funny i don't mean the ha-ha kind.

Me and myself are extremely suspicious regarding statistics.

[rant modus on]
Something as:
Most people die in bed, so you d'better never go to sleep in a bed.
Even if the statistics you point at (not the first time they are mentioned) are probably coloured by the anti-war adepts, I can only say that as most West-Europeans I look at the US civilization with disbelief.
What a nutcases!
Fire arms all around, even the greatest retard can buy weapons there, and not some light ones, no , full automatic heavy weaponry with the according ammo.
They show a -(was nothing to see there)- half naked breast on telly and hell breaks loose, but it's also the country with the most nude pole dancing clubs, topless ones, street hookers,n pron industry..... and so on.... and on ...
[rant full stop]

I gonna stop here, they're all nuts there.

Really? I always thought that was Germany... but then again the US is almost 30 times(sez Wikipedia) larger than it. Owell...

Gamer: Those statistics are most likely accurate, the Army is (ironically) one of the safest careers available. You're physically fit, on a controlled diet, and have excellent medical care, so there's very little risk of health problems. You're almost always being transported on planes or armored vehicles, so no fatal auto accidents. (In the U.S., ~50,000 die each year on the road) Not too much that's likely to kill you, except for terrorists.

hang on, I'll be right back...

*Sounds of gunfire, screams, and carnage as Dogbreath steps outside with his Avtomat Kalashnikova (47) and starts gunning down pedestrians. A grenade detonates somewhere, and helicopters blades beat overhead.*

Yep, it's pretty much a warzone here with all us crazy Americans... just feel lucky that you'll never have to, you know, actually visit the country and see what it's like first hand. Much better to find out about it on the internet.

Damn it! My neighbour just brought out a howitzer! Time to cap that mofo...

*Sounds of massacre continue*
