Tip for Tyrian + Tyrian 2000:
For best ship setup, get:
Atom Bomb side weapons
Lazer fromt weapon (Steady stream, not pulse)
Heat sinking back weapon
I wone the game with flying colors using that!

Also, you need the best generator to run that, it drains your energy. The best shield and ship would help. DO NOT buy the carret ship, as it removes youre weapon and replaces it with its own crappy one.

Unless ur in arcade mode, then yes. And it cost a lot. You can get A-Bombs early on in the game.
