Post problems with getting games installed and running properly here.

The game installs and runs with sound (with windows update .exe) but when you try a puzzle you just drop back to the desktop. Anyone get it to work in XP or DOS on an XP box.

JTA - No not yet, but thanks for the quick reply. Because it 'mostly' works i.e. I can explore without problems, I hoped there may just be a simple XP 'tweak' I could try.

Someone just posted on another site that 11th hour will work if you set the compatibility to NT or 2000!!! I will try tonight. (this is assuming you have the windows patch)

YES!! with the comp. mode set to win 2000 it works great!

and for me, it didn't work! keeps quitting to desktop, no matter what compat. mode was on!

Wow... This thread is three years old. Do you own a legitimate copy of the game, and did you mount your CD drive as well? If you didn't mount it, you'll have to, since DOSbox doesn't acknowledge anything's existance unless you tell it so.
