Test Drive 1 & 2

When I try to drive a car, I accelerate but the screen doesn't move. This happens in Test Drive 1 and 2, but oddly enough, not 3.

how do I fix this?

I think you need to press "w" or "a" or some other key in that region on your keyboard to put the car in the right gear.
