I have an old dos game called "Doubles Pinochle" that I cannot get to run on XP. I followed all the instructions on the page "Getting DOS games to run on XP" but my problem is, there is no mouse cursor. The game states it will recognize the mouse if a driver is present (I assume there is, after all...) I have an almost new Dell 2.6 GHz with a MOUSE. How can I get this wonderful old program to run on this machine? Thanks in advance.

I'm guessing your mouse is too new, the game doesn't recognize it.

"Your mouse is too new, the game doesn't recognize it."??? You guys are supposed to be the nerd-rockets of this dos-in-XP thing, I don't need to hear why it doesn't work, but what I can do to get it to work. Y'all aren't being any help here...

Yes, I have, and the program exists but I still cannot see a mouse cursor. If you move the mouse around, you can tell it's there, just not visible. Is there any way I could install a dummy mouse driver in XP that the DOS program would recognize?
