Settlers in America Trying to Survive 1990s Game Moving Around on Map

Post by wind_glider »

Hi guys,

I am trying to find a game that I played during computer class in the late 1990s and early 2000s as a kid.

It is a game where you land in North America and move around the place as this little early settler man to different parts of a map.

I recall you can trade with the Native American Indians and sometimes when you build good relationships with them they'll want to trade with you more. Sometimes you can rip them off and they'll say something like "You think we dumb, now we angry and no trade you next time" or something like that. I recall using gun powder to trade for something.

You can also fish for food where that becomes a mini game in itself if I recall correctly.

I just thought about it on the way back to work today. I was 8 years old when I played the game and now I'm in my late 20s and felt really nostalgic as I grew up in an American school but left shortly after Middle School.

I remember playing the game fondly and learning about American history and trying to survive as early settlers.

I cannot find the name of the game no matter how I Google or Youtube.

I hope someone on here can help me find the name of the game.

Thank you for your time.

Uh, if it's not the actual Settlers/Siedlers game, then maybe one of the Colonization series, or FreeCol? (None of which I've played)

There is also a group of games relating to the early north-american settlements, and wars.
