PS2 3d RPG Diablo like

the game has you start off in a dungeon after being resurrected by a wizard to save the world from undead and demon like monsters, I can't remember much about the game besides the fact it was released half way through the ps2's life cycle and it was diablo like but with slightly better 3d graphics, you can use magic and melee weapons and the first enemy you end up fighting are skeletons, sorry if this not much to go on, from what I can tell it's a pretty obscure game, even for a ps2 game

(It's for the original Playstation, but I think PS2 can play those games too, unlike the current generation of consoles.)

sadly darkstone is not the game i was thinking of tho it did remind me the game was in the same dark griddy style of diablo with a very similar health/magic pool indicators

Could be Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance (or sequel) or Champions of Norrath? Can't recall if they have Diablo style life magic indicators but they are similar in style

sadly neither of those games has the whole the game starts of with you being resurrected in a crypt by a wizard

Hmm...there is a game I found for Dreamcast which has a similar story: 'Record of Lodoss War'; you are resurrected by a wizard etc.
It was not released for any Playstation what I could see in the group tor the Lodoss universe, but maybe take a look?
