I never played it but I remember watching a YouTube video on it and wanting to buy it, now I don't know what it is.

Aliens versus Predator 2? Came out in 2001, does have androids and the campaign takes place in a futuristic world. Here's a closeup of an android (combat synth):


Or did you mean something like Blade Runner?
