I'm looking for an old side scroller game that I played like 10 or 12 years ago, maybe more, I'm not sure if I played it in an emulator or PC, the game was like this:
You are this classic human hero in a classic side scroll dungeon killing stuff and releasing prisoners who become your partners (you can only have one of them at time, when you get a new one you lose the last one), each one has he's own special power. That's basically all the game, you walk through the dungeon, release partners, kill stuff and kill the boss. Any ideas?
OLD SIDE SCROLLER GAME
Do you remember if it was swords-and-magic or guns-and-grenades or arcade-fighting style?
Total shots in the dark: Zeliard or Sorcerian or Duke Nukem II - only Sorcerian lets you control more than one person, though.
It'd help if you can say how those are different than what you remember - bigger or smaller characters, more/less "platform levels" to walk on per screen, colors and settings, types of badguys (skeletons? solders? orcs?).
