Need help finding an old ball game [Street Ball]

Post by Guest »

All I can remember about the game is that there was a blue ball moving on lines and you had to pick power-ups and gems(?). Sometimes there were obstacles like electricity which could be disabled and black balls that stopped you. You could only guide the ball with arrow keys, once it left the line it would bounce between walls until it reached another line.
Maybe there were red walls and green background.. with a lot of levels.

It must have been released around 1995 or before.
I would be so glad if anyone remembered that game, because I've been looking for it for months now..

It was a side-top-whatever-scroller and not a noid type game

Define 'side-top-whatever-scroller'

Well, if I got it right, it scrolls from left to right and top to bottom

Sounds a lot like Mega Maze (HotU has a download).

It's similar, but still not it.

Similar, you say? Maybe Oxyd? Marble Madness? Rock 'n Roll? Mind-Roll? Cloud Kingdoms?

And if it's none of the above, how does it differ from them?

None of those you mentioned

Differences: 2D, ball guided with arrow keys and no "gravity"

Huh, maybe i'll try to make a sketch of the game..

You guys are dumb, the answer is clearly BANANIA.

<img src="http://www.dosgames.com/bana1.gif">

&#8730; Ball (Yellow is close to blue right?)
&#8730; Moves on lines (Well, more like a grid)
&#8730; Power-ups
&#8730; Gems (diamond box)
&#8730; Green and red (Though mixed up; red background, green-ish walls)

The ball was clearly blue, not yellow or red or green.
The ball moved on lines, back and forth on one line, then you let it go (with an arrow key) to bounce between walls until it reached the next line.

I was looking for another game and stumbled upon a game that fits your description perfectly, I hope that you'll remember to check this thread...
The name of the Game is Street Ball.

Also, while searching for this post I found this:
dosgames.com/forum/about14450.html
There's a good chance that it is the same game.
