I like anything save pop, hip-hop, or rap, which I hate. Of my three hates, the one I hate most would probably be rap. I mean, come on Eminem, if you really want to be black so much, then have an operation a la' reverse of Jackson and stop pretending already! Probably my favorite types would be Oldies (coherient, reasonible, storyline, well composed) classical (composition is amazing, plus, the author lets *the music* reveal his feelings rather than blaring it in my face), and Metal (see above with Classical).

Modern Rock is the best IMO. Especially Punk Rock. The lyrics don't matter to me. S'long as it sounds good. Jimmy Eat World has good lyrics though.

Oh yeah... has anyone hears Sys. Of A D.'s F. The System?

That is just the weirdest song I heard... but it's great.

Yeah, I've got that CD.

My favorite genre is (bear with me) Classic Rock. Sort of in between current rock and oldies. It doesn't have the meaningless songs of some of the sixties, like that one about the landromat, but it does have the beatles. And it doesn't have the crap of the 80s or 90s, but it does have Led Zepplin and Nirvana. Basically self explanitory- the classics. And to be a classic, you have to make a difference.

Yeah, Smash Mouth ain't too good. I was just showin' ya that if you only like music with individuality, you should like them. Actually, Waling no the Sun wasn't too bad.

But I love Incubus. One o' da tops on my list.

IMO, the only good 80's song ever written would be Safty Dance.

There are more, but the 80's were probably the drought of a decade...

You guys dont like 80's music? I graduated high school in 1986, just about ever popular song of the 80's reminds me of something that was going on in my life at the moment.

It doesnt remind me of school, just the stuff going on at the time. Believe it or not but after you graduate high school and college and get a job your life slows down a bit. During your jr high/highschool/college years you do alot of things fore the first time like getting a drivers liscense, getting laid, being legal age to drink, and other wild and or stupid things.

I didnt like high school too much, but college was a hell of alot of fun.

Wasnt ironman from the 70's when ozzy was with black sabbath? I like his solo stuff better.

as stated in my post above yours K-dawg.

The song IRON MAN is on the Black Sabbath record Paranoid. the record sleeve is black with a blue ninja viking dude on it. Some other famous songs in it are: Paranoid, War Pigs, Electric Funeral, and Faries Wear Boots. I think it was realeased sometime in 1978.

Some other popular rock band's from the '70s are:

Pink Floyd
Led Zepplin
Kiss
Deep purple
George Thorogood
Steppenwolf

and the list continues

DG: Did you maybe misread my post before yours? it says iron MAIDEN not iron MAN (easy mistake)

Well, the worst band in Rock history would have to be Slipknot.

All you need to do is get 10 drunk people from a bar, give them gitars and drums, and electrocute them. That's Slipknot music.

But it was popular in the 80s, as it was a good song for quite some time.

Note: sorry for the triple post. I was quickly scrolling and I only saw one thing at a time :( .
