Need Help,I Have A Virus.

Post by tinman47 »

I was on a site for XX... :shame:
Anyways I got a virus that has an icon
of a pig,and has some kind of Japanese
name, and whenever I try to delete it,
it copys itself to another file in my system
I can never find.

I ran 4 full system scans, and its not working
out. It doesnt delete anything,it just
annoys me.All it does is when I delete it,A new
version is replicated somewhere on my hardrive,
and the one I'm deleting is deleted.

PLEASE HELP ME. :shame:

Pour beer all over your motherboard! It's the only way.

...and don't go to XXX sites.

Porn and warez(as in cracks, serials and the likes) are a big no-no

But I'm gonna pretend I didn't read you committed something illegal(since, you did say you were 13) and tell you what to do!(tho' I normally charge some money for this  )

First thing first, when you say you have a virus, is not forget to say what windows you have and what Anti-Viral Anti-Spyware software you're using!

Go to C|Net's Download.com and get download Zone Alarm, AOL Active Security Monitor and Avast Home Edition. Browse the internets and download a copy of Ad-Aware and Comodo Personal Firewall

Yeah, I know it's a bunch, well download them, install them, then reboot in safe mode(restart computer, and before the "Loading Windows"/whatever sign, tap F8 repeatedly, and choose from the menu "Safe Mode"), and do a scan with each and every one of them. After you scan with each and every one of them, you scan again!

After that, reboot normally, and pray you got all those buggers! :karate:

Well, I wouldn't go that far, I mean there's browser history(and I don't just mean that history you got in Firefox/whatever browser you're using). And pretty much any porn site logs IPs, sends spam mail...

And from now on, keep Ad Aware's "Ad Watch" and Avast on! Since you NEED protection when you're connected to the "INterNEts"

In your dreams , sunshine.

Those notorious sites are widely known as the major keylog pluggers.
And as it seems you were smart enough to connect without any protection, you left all the backdoors on your PC widely opened.

Congrats , great chances your PC is a zombie now.

Very short explanation about "zombie" pc:
A computer system that has been covertly taken over in order to transmit phony messages that slow down service and disrupt the network. A "pulsing zombie" is when the bogus messages are sent in periodic bursts rather than continuously.

Viruses and other malware are usually found on shady sites (especially illeagal sites), so your best bet would be to avoid them altogether! I've had problems with SmitFraud software installing on my computer, though I've found that a little program called Smitfraudfix helps. Boot into safe mode before using it, though.

Off topic: Hey, I'm 13 too. :jester:

Edit: This is what I got before. I was trying to download a codec pack, but accidentally got a fake one! I was really looking for K-lite...

I'd say Linux is a better solution.

Except for the fact that you have it posted on the internet, and anybody that knows your username can search it and this post will *probably* turn up...
