old joystick usb converter

is there a usb converter i can put on my old joystick to use it on my new computer. it doesnt have the port for the older style joysticks. i looked on ebay and couldnt find anything. thanks

However since it costs $23.00, GameMaster.EXE is probably right, its probably better to just buy a new gamepad ... for example I have the Saitek p880 which is dual analog and works great, which is available for $14.95:

damn 23 bucks. i guess i am better off buying a new one. it sucks cause i have about 10 of the old ones and now they are pretty much useless (except for my old dos machine). i am guessing you cant just use a usb end from and mouse and attach it to the older style controllers.

I don't think it is possible, but if you have a usb end that you don't need, it might be worth trying anyway :D

yea, i have a bunch of old controllers and usb cords, so it cant hurt to give it a shot. i guess ill just try to match up the same colors to each other.
