Hello,

I felt obliged to report the following. I've noticed that the Street Fighter II download is not a "Playable demo", but seemingly the full version of the game, complete with a copy protection hack. The only demo of this game that I know of is the Super Street Fighter II Turbo demo available, for example, here.

Also, Hexen download is categorized as "Shareware", while actually it is a 4-level demo (as defined by the developers themselves on the pre-load splash screen). Additionally, the cheat codes indicated on the respective game page do not work with the demo. The list of demo cheat codes can be found here.

MrFlibble, thank you very much for your post! I just took your comments into account.

Hexen is now categorized as 'playable demo' and I have updated the cheats: http://www.dosgamesarchive.com/download ... d-heretic/.

I have replaced the Street Fighter game with 'Super Street Fighter II Turbo': http://www.dosgamesarchive.com/download ... -ii-turbo/. I have verified this is the playable demo version. By the way, soon I will replace the screenshots and game video as well.

Thanks again!

Just noticed that the X-COM: UFO Defense download says it's the "full version", while actually it's just a playable demo. To the best of my knowledge, the game had never been released as freeware.

BTW, there are actually two diffferent demos of this game, one for the original release, and one for the European release (under the title UFO: Enemy Unknown):

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I have changed it so it says 'Playable demo' instead of 'Full version':

I'm afraid that the version of The Legend of Kyrandia II: The Hand of Fate on the site is not a playable demo, but a ripped full CD version. It says "The Hand of Fate, CD-ROM" both during loading and on the main menu screen (there's also the version number "v1.0A" at the bottom of the menu screen), and nowhere does it identify itself as a demo version too.

I think the only demo of the game that was released is the unplayable one which is available from Westwood Studios' official FTP:
ftp://ftp.westwood.com/pub/kyrandia2/pr ... ofdemo.exe
