Sierra re-releases (Quest compilations)

Post by JKSM »

According to someone at Vintage Sierra forum, someone at the KQ9 forum had e-mailed Vivendi about this, and he got this reply:
"Thank you for writing. Vivendi Universal Games will be releasing compilations of Kings Quest, Space Quest and Police Quest in October of 2005. They are legitimate and official releases from VUG."
Quite interesting. The game compiliations are also supposed to be compatible with Win XP.

I'm going buy all of them for sure. Well, except for the Leisure Suit Larry one, becuase I'm still a minor.

But there doesn't seem to be a quest for glory compilation...

That's still the best series in my eyes.

Sweet  Hopefully they sell well, so that more companies will release compilations :D

If they sell real good (which I'm afraid won't happen) they might even make some new adventures in those series... classical humoristic adventures... B)

Yay! Yet another company releases their old classic games as freeware.
Broderbund, it's now your turn with the Prince of Persia series.

The games aren't being released as freeware, they are being released in commerical compilations which you have to buy to get the compilations.

I own the King's Quest & Police Quest collection (these are the compilations which Sierra released years ago). Well, I pick up Space Quest collection sometime in the future. Now, if only they re-released the Lesuire Suit Larry compilation.

That's good news & I was tired when I read the link which is why I didn't see Lesuire Suit Larry listed.

I just realised I'd probably have to import them since I live in Europe... I'm lucky if we get them here at all... Why does one of their biggest markets always get things last? I'm being ******ed.
