Look! My avatar is quite sizeable. Shouldn't the forum resize it for me?

Huh? I always thought there were limits on the size of it. The forum doesn't resize it, otherwise anything smaller than the limits would also be resized.

For the time being, could you please take it off, or otherwise I'm going to spontaneously combust.
"You believe me," I said gratefully.

There is no sizing control-it's expected you'll post a picture of the appropriate size (150x150 or anything below that usually) and not be an ass about it. I deleted your avatar since you decided to make it so big-please resize and re-upload it.

One of the first posts on this board states that emmzee had installed a avatar resizer MOD. However, it must have been incorrectly installed, allowing avatars bigger than the limit to be used.

Proof of this can be seen on the phpBB forums. They have remote avatars, and it will NOt allow you to select an avatar larger than what is specified.

*shrugs* I don't remember installing a mod to allow larger avatars? One of the options in the Configuration menu of phpBB allows you to specify the max avatar size ... currently it's set at 150x150. Is that a mod? Dunno.

A possibility is that there's a bug in the version of phpBB we're using that has been fixed in the later versions ... but since I don't wanna upgrade unless absolutely necessary, please don't use larger avatars than 150x150 for now ;)

You mentioned it. You possibly assumed that it re-sized them, and called it a MOD by mistake. But for soem reason, it allows larger ones than 150x150... it shouldn't.

Emmzee: The 150x150 is the largest we allow to be *uploaded* for avatars, you can link offsite for avatars as large as you want.

You shouldn't be worrying to much about size in pixels too much as it has an upload limit of 10Kb, anything over that basically can't be uploaded on to the host machine.

What the owner of this forum should be really worrying about is if people are using abusive or explicit language or have avatars that can be legally deemed explicit to children...basically this involves pornographic material, explicit language on logos and artworks of mutilations, decapitations, or extreme graphical violence!!

ahhh.... warchalk.... people in england are either too dumb or too poor to have open nodes lying around... but i chalk it all over the place anyway, to annoy nerds. :)

and kazer0, emmzee pm'ed me about it, saying it was a HACK, not a mod. and that it didn't work. because i had a massive avatar.
