I got a DOS game, it is The Incredible Machine 2, but I don't if I should open it or not.

P.S. This is my first DOS game that is the original.

Open it if you intend to play it, should be a very fun game.

I really want to open it but I want to know, would it be collectible?

You paid $1.50 for a very common game that is over 10 years old and you think it will be valuable?????

I'm reminded of beanie babies. Everyone here was positive they'd be the next big collectors item, so they all went out and bought a rediculous number of them.

Now, of course, there are so many fucking beanie babies lying around that they're totally worthless, and nobody even wants to collect them.

I did not buy it to sell it, but I am going to open it now. :bday:

Edit: OHH Great. Now I was trying to install it on dosbox and I was to the point where I insert disk 2 and I think it did not work and prompted disk 1 again so I inserted it and it asked it again so I was really confused so I went to My Computer and clicked on Floppy 3 1/2 and then it says "Do you want to format this disk?" so I guess I just gave up and clicked format and then "Windows had a problem formating your drive" I really am not doing good.
EDIT2: Ok. Now I have successfully formatted the floppy and now there are 2 bad sectors.

Yes.
I am not sure if this is allowed but since I bought the game it should be ok. Can anyone supply a floppy image of disk one? Sue me if I am not allowed to ask this!

So to format the legit floppies, you would have stuck tape over the protection tab on the disk. You did this?

Either way. Stick tape over the read only tab and copy the disc data back onto the floppy from "internet sources", i mean once the data is back on the floppy, it may as well be the legit disk once again.

Maybe the problem is your C drive, and you need to format that? lawl
