Oregon Trail remake for the DS

An official remake of the DOS classic game Oregon Trail is coming for the Nintendo DS:

Hopefully they don't change the game so much that they alienate all of the long-time fans of the game who fondly remember it from their childhood ...

I remember Oregon Trail for the Macintosh. I used to play it all the time at school. Always the frappin' snake bites...
