I'm the creator of that GIF

Post by Santhosh CHRiS »

Hi y'all. I'm Steve Chris, the creator of that Dave GIF. Hope everybody likes it. I'm working on a few more. I wasn't the member of this forum until Jorit posted my work here. I made this GIF using Paint (windows 98)
and Animation Shop version 1.0

I uh...was the one who got blasted by Dave by the way. I am still seeking MY revenge! The entire studio where we were filming this GIF got destroyed cause of that little dingdong!

Thanx a lot Jorit! Keep up the gr8 work!

J..John Romero, the Father of Doom saw my GIF!! Wow! I am REALLY excited about that! Thank you for your compliments Mr.Romero. Keep up the gr8 work! Sorry about that little #$%@ Dave though... I kinda killed him in the end!

Thanx to all of your kind support, I've decided to make another movie of this sort in FULL scale! A feature length film called 'Being Super Mario for Week'It's about a guy that gets sucked into a P.C. becoming Super Mario for an entire week, and the original Super Mario comes out to live in the REAL world! Be sure to watch it cuz it's REALLY funny, not just lame hyped up humor you see in the movies these days. (Absolutely NO PG-13 material)

be sure to email me if you can [email protected]

Oh and Wally, on to that question of yours, Yes he did destroy half my studio using his blaster (the one you find on level 3 in the game) then he launched his Jet Pack, and crashed into a wall knocking himself unconcious. I then quickly picked myself up, and burnt that son of a $#% ALIVE!! HA HA HA! (luckily it isn't really a Federal crime to incinerate video game jerks)

See ya around fellow dos game lovers...

Did you also make the game segment in Paint, or were those screenshots?

Hi Da Goat,

The answer to your question is the Game segment was actually a single screen shot from the Dave game, which I used cut and paste tool to make Dave move around. Each scene that Dave moved was immediately copied and pasted as a frame into a software called Animation Shop, and with succession of each frame caused movement.

The rest, where you see the 2 dorks playing the game, and one of 'em that gets attacked and all, was made frame by frame entirely using paint, however, in order to capture Dave's digital real game like appearance, I used his image from the actual game itself (zooming and making a few changes)

Thanx for yur enquiry Da Goat. Oh and by the way, if I had money and enjoyed wedgies I'd probably do the same too

Be sure to check out my newest animation also posted here 'Being Super Mario for a Week' which is a lot better and funnier than this one. If you have any further doubts be sure to email me [email protected] pal...
