Oh. I'd say that Commander Keen is the best platform game, though. But then again you'd "have" to pay for it as it's not freeware like this...

Also Monster Bash is pretty fun. It's worth checking out.

To be honest, this isn't the best games I've played. But then again it's certainly not the worst! I, for one, am glad that it has been released as freeware.

Well, when I was 11 or so, I was given an old 386 computer by my grandmother just because. So later that night I went online looking for programs as well as games that would work on it. I did a google search for "dos games", and dosgames.com came up (:o). I downloaded a few games and had a...

Sure. First, download this file, then run it. Go through the installation, then run the program. Say your games directory was C:\GAMES. You'll have to do the following before you can run anything from that directory: mount C: C:\GAMES <enter> C: <enter> Now that you've mounte...

You don't really have to use an emulator if you're using a Windows machine that's pre-Vista, though you probably want to give DOSBox a shot. Especially if you are using a Vista machine or something like Mac or Linux.

I don't want to be around when tinman discovers sex. I do! C'mon, it'll be funny! But uhh, Tinman... honestly, try to find things that most people wouldn't know about. Especially in a community such as this where people tend to know enough on the topic of computers, something like knowledge of .com...

I agree, DOOM frightened me a little at times. I haven't played Silent Hill, but I'll try to check it out. I don't really have any other frightening games of my own, but they seem to appeal to me.

Viruses and other malware are usually found on shady sites (especially illeagal sites), so your best bet would be to avoid them altogether! I've had problems with SmitFraud software installing on my computer, though I've found that a little program called Smitfraudfix helps. Boot into safe mode befo...

I'm not really the most knowledgeable in this area, though my guess would be C or C++. For console games, you need to get specific hardware for it.

Also, all your posts about the BASIC language are making me want to relearn it...

I can relate; I know of a small-time forum that had to be shut down because of it being spammed frequently, masses at a time. I really don't see why people can't use banner ads and such instead of spamming forums like this. Oh, and my best bet is that this one's just testing the forum software so it...

Welcome and enjoy your stay, WitheHorse!

also when a similar bot came to a different forum I go to, it said it was going to bring its spambot friends along. Then there was a lot more spam for a while.
