Well, officially there are save game points in the game, if you don't make to save game point and you die of course you have to restart either the game or the level depending how far along you actually are. I'm not sure of it's official size the one where I got 327 MB was SKENG compressed using WinRAR - which could have files missing!!

Quake is still number one Quake is good as a multiplayer game, single player these days doesn't really cut it unless you want to practice.
