run the windows XP repair ! boot off there windows XP CD and when prompted repair there windows installation and see if it solves the issue.

it will prompt you to repair windows BEFORE it asks anything about partitions etc.

Well, the first thing you should do is go to the programs properties, and untick the "Close on exit" tickbox(you seem to know your way around a computer, you'll figure it out) Now, when you run the program, it won't close right after exit, so you'll be able to read whatever error messages...

it should work even if he included the file extensions, do you have the files in question? are you currently in the folder that the files reside in?

i have a suggestion, maybe also suggest to include what language you speak in in your post? it would allow for quicker translation if need be.

edit the games configuration file so that it points to the right spot for it's data files, else the game will look in the wrong place and wont work. i have yet to find a way to have both dungeon keeper and deeper dungeons copied to my hdd and running. they each will replace files the other needs thu...

i got the sourceport working o_O it seems the guy packaged the config file in a subfolder when it shouldn't have been.

has anyone worked out a solution to the speed issue in Descent II (version 1.2) for windows 95? if you set the in-game resolution to 640x480 it goes ballistic, i assume this is because winXP compatibility modes suck and that you do need to use one to get 640x480 res to work in the game. i have a CD ...

nono, i meant they have to be like not scratched or any visible dirt/dust on them... they offer 100% money back if you decide you plain and simply don't like the game within the first 7 days.

I do believe in Canada you cannot get a refund on an opened computer game (or for that matter, other stuff under copyright law like music CDs). Rationale being that people would constantly buy a game, burn it on a CD, then bring back the original copy for a refund. Think how many games/music/movies...

and yea i've heard of companies selling demo's of there games for dirt cheap on CD's because people dont like downloading them...
