I've found the problem: I haven't been going to SETUP.EXE, I've been going to INSTALL.EXE! No wonder I couldn't configure the sound. What would be the best settings for a Win95 system?

As for the cheats, the cheat for getting a chainsaw (IDCHOPPERS) isn't working.

Guest, if your using WinXP, get dosbox. If you are using dosbox, try slowing down the cycle speed, or whatever its called. If that doesn't work, try dual-booting in Win98SE. If it still doesn't work, (it should at this stage) dump your Xp and install dos!

No sound in Doom

I downloaded Doom and started to play it but there wasn't any sound.
Also, who knows how to activate the cheats?

I used Roomshaker, a POP level editor, but you know that. Lately I've been having thoughts about dumping roomshaker for PV3, another POP editor that looks more promising and easier to use. If it's any better than roomshaker, I'll include a link.

I wasn't exactly blaming you. And I wasn't complaining. We shall discuss this matter later and more physically outside. :karate:

Anyways, what do you mean by downloading with IE 5? Internet Explorer is a web browser, not a download program.

I was wondering, which version of the game Doom is better?
The original, number two, or the third?

It's a good thing you changed it...... Hackers always try simple things first. For example: Your username, the word "password" :o , etc.

Thanks a lot. When I tried to download it, my downloader program
(Real Download) crashed and my computer displayed a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death).

I tried running POP2 from a DOS window but it doesn't do anything.

Anyhow, try running the game from pure DOS. . Under sound devices it says: Cystral PnP Audio System CODEC Also on the taskbar next to the clock there is a blue icon and when I put my mouse over it, it says: Crystal SRS 3D Audio. My computer doesn't verify the sound card I have, just the software. W...

Yes, I am quite aware Roomshaker existed for quite a while. I also tried to get level maps of POP4D using roomshaker but when I tried to view the palace levels
(levels 4, 5, 6, 10, 11) roomshaker displayed a message saying the levels were corrupted. Did you also encounter this problem?
