So guys, what's the plan? Are we keeping things mostly the same, or are we going to make some serious renovations, or what?

Let's hear the conclusion of the matter, shall we? B)

The forum should be streamlined a bit. Merge Literature and Media with General Off Topic, that should make it more intuitive for people. Other tips: Make the Rules a Sticky thread in every sub-forum. In the thread, put a link to a web page (separate from the forum) that says the rules. (phpBB.com fo...

The reason why I never post here is because this forum is lame. There are no real discussions about games, but only guests who ask where they can find a game or how they can run their game in Windows XP. There are also people with very long signatures (Wally  ) which doesn't makes it nice to...

The BOWEP pack is easy to find, even on non-warez/non-abware sites. Looks like Microsoft doesn't care about it.

Even GameHippo has hosted a few of the BOWEP games I think.

Sort of. But perhaps companies don't like the idea of giving away something and not getting something in return. Or maybe the hope of someday being able to commercially exploit their ancient software. (put it in a game pack like 100 games on one CD, have a 20th anniversary special, sell the rights t...

Windows is bloatware enough, adding such elaborate data protection schemes might make it even bloater.

The French and German Googles were bound by law to provide censoring, AFAIK. Also Fundamental Christian sites like http://www.Jesus-is-Lord.com were affected by censoring. So Wardrich has a very excellent point there. Albeit the phpBB.com forum heavily endorses Google, as well as many other cyber-pl...

Deleting usernames would provide cosmetic improvement and it would be easier to find a certain someone. But those two advantages alone may not be worth the effort... Anyhow, it would be nice to delete everything and start from scratch IMHO. However, the information loss and confusion that results ma...

The Jump-O-Master is automatically used when you need it, you have no direct control over it. Sometimes, when you jump, you may slightly slow down in mid-air, I think that's when the Jump-O-Master is "In Use" for a split second. I think this may be a small way that the game programmers mad...

Apparently the introduction screen and the game itself are two different programs. The way it quits, it may be a Runtime Error or a Divide Overflow. There are two possible solutions: Use DOSBox: http://dosbox.sourceforge.net Use TPPatch: http://www.qmw.ac.uk/~ugah006/gotools/tppatch.exe To use TPPat...

Are you running the game from a CD? If so, copy the game to your hard drive. If you are running the game from a floppy disk, make sure the disk is not write-protected. Or if you use Windows XP, maybe the game is attempting to get direct disk access, which XP refuses to allow. Try this: Make a folder...

So yeah, it's a far reaching bug. Alright then, thanks for clarifying. Hopefully this does not cause too much frustration... Thi...

The game probably assumes that your screen is set at 25 lines, while Windows XP uses 43 or 50 lines. Thus the game would only use the first 25 lines. Download this program into your C:\WINDOWS directory: http://advsys.net/ken/util/nv.com Then go to Command Prompt, use the CD command to go to the gam...
