It's not that Windows is compatible, it's that most games are made with DirectCrap. id Software, Epic Games and Blizzard are some of the few companies that make games with OpenGL (or at least, also with OpenGL). Also, you can install more than 1 OS (as I have) so you can run your games on windows. B...

Whether it works or not is irrelevant, you're still in desperate need of an upgrade. I'd say go as high end as you can so you don't have to upgrade again for a few years. EDIT: reading the site, I see: On Saturday, February 18 -- Aaron Rosenberg met with BlizzPlanet, a fan site, to discuss details o...

the law of alchemy that something cant be created out of nothing but something of equal value must be presented. It's a Manga . It's not real. My avatar is a picture of Roy about to blow someone up, by the way. I don't have a picture of an alchemy book there. I also meant to ask why you think I'm t...

emmzee, you haven't answered your question.
Question for discussion (For everyone!): Would you say that it would be better if God exists than if God doesn't exist? Why or why not?

The eclipse referred to on that page occurred (according to the author) on "June 21st, 38AD" That's not what's relevant. An eclipse is only possible two weeks after a full moon. In order for Jesus to be crucified during an eclipse, he would have to be in custody for more then one week. Qu...

I'm not sure what you mean? Here: Where exactly does the KJV verse above say that we "become righteous by accepting Jesus" as the person quoted claims? The explanation for someone who has read the Bible ... is that Jesus died for all, but not all will accept the "free gift" or &...

(sorry for triple post, forgot something, and that post is already freakin huge) I'd like to add an analogy for those having trouble with the concept of a God. I am a programmer. Say I create a virtual world with virtual people. I am in full control of that world. Only things that I define can exist...

(sorry, I couldn't resist reading the whole topic :)) If you mean 'translations', yes there are many different English translations, and also translations into 100s of other languages. It's necessary since few people today read Greek. Well, I am no expert on the topic, but someone else has dug up so...

I frequently find bugs/glitches in games. I tend to try things the game was not meant for once I get bored with it.

Unless you're playing a really bad game, at least you're having fun at the same time :)

Beta testing? Getting paid to play games? QA is one of the best jobs. Ever.

Debugging can be very very frustrating, and is 100 times harder when it's somebody else's code.

Whomever invented DVDs decided to be an asshole and implement region codes.

Lots of DVD players will play DVDs from other regions. It has nothing to do with the output format, as then you could get a multi-system TV.

Who's making games just to make money? I'm sure they enjoy making games, whoever you're talking about. As I said earlier, the company might be after the money but the I'm sure the developers enjoy their work.

Except the poor suckers stuck debugging other people's code.
