(you're playing campaign, right?) Not yet, I first go through all the other stuff to get it back in my fingers. Heh. It took me a couple of months until I can carrier-land the F-117A again, but then again, I only play games once or twice a week these days. :( However, the latest mission was rewardi...

Re: Software as I like it ....

Interesting, especially since WinAmp has been quite bloated lately.

http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=z7jZ1zaH6IA This is Chicane's best song, IMO :D Very nice! Albeit my Chicane's best song is still No Ordinary Morning , which happens to be my brokenheart song as well. I also love Saltwater . And yes, The Prodigy was one of my favorite several years ago, as well as ot...

And seeing the guy smoke crack (instead of seeing just a first person view) would be somberly hilarious, being an ex-addict myself! You are an ex-addict? Pardon the thread hijack, but how did you stop? My ex-girlfriend is (still) and addict. She has been on rehab back and forth; doesn't make her st...

Ooh I love Moby too :D You do? How about Chicane, Blank & Jones, Télépopmusik, Lux, Éric Serra, Bliss, Leftfield, and Mono? And are you a fan of Café del Mar albums too? Whenever it goes to Café del Mar, I always prefer Bruno to José Padilla. Bruno's compilations are always focused to ambient e...

it's not that much "how I/you/we/" should make a game, it's more "what we want from the games game-making companies make, and what we'll probably not get for a long time if ever". Indeed. However, if moving this thread to Game Creation forum would have greater benefit (like a ga...

You cannot resist the temptation of old games, dosraider. You will play... you will play.... you will play.... swings the pendulum

By the way, how is the campaign so far? (you're playing campaign, right?)

RF Stock Photos and copyrighted website?

I'm helping my cousin building a website, and he plans to use Royalty-Free Stock Photos (because they're cheap; hi-res can go as low as US $5). I told him that no one can have exclusive rights on RF Stock Photos, and the photographer can sell the same image as many times as he wants. My cousin is OK...

And that's, in my opinion, what makes a good game. Hooking the player in, not because it's brutal, but because it's fun and entertaining. Yup, while I vehemently disagree with Joel Lieberman's crusade against violent games, games that use violence as their selling point usually suck in gameplay, be...

Quantum of Solace. A really good movie. The problem is: it doesn't really need to be a James Bond movie.

Heh, you've more or less described the first two installments in the X-COM series. :P Actually, most Microprose games like Red Storm Rising , Covert Action , and Sword of the Samurai were made by such formula. Furthermore, flightsims like Their Finest Hour (the campaign part) and F-16 Combat Pilot ...

Waw, that's a blast from the past. If I remember swell I used the same trick as on Jetfighter (2?) to avoid this annoying dive bomb exercise. Fly horizontally over the target, some 750/1000 feet ( .... 1250? Don't remember) and drop when the target goes underneath your cockpit sight. Or something ....
