There are basically two ways your game can be identified: either someone knows it and will recognise from your description (but so far no one has), or we can use the clues you remember to look in the right direction and find it via a database like MobyGames. The description you provided is sufficien...

Maybe something like Incoming/Incoming Forces or Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising? I think that these might have the features you're looking for but not sure ATM.

Uhh, are you looking for a specific CD or just a list of games? Because if the latter, this MobyGames list might be a good start: https://www.mobygames.com/browse/games/windows/offset,0/so,1a/list-games/x,8/ Note: I used this trick to get the list because the default Game Browser interface doesn't d...

I'm looking for this FPS that happened inside some sort of space ship where you can choose your character before the game. I remember there were, as playable characters, a Cyborg guy, a Dominatrix woman and some sort of monster, perhaps a werewolf or something like that. That would be In Pursuit of...

The tiles look very nice, I like this kind of graphics.

Sounds very much like a game from the Settlers series.

That, or try Knights and Merchants.

I found an updated demo of Fantasy General . It has the same scenarios as the regular FTP demo but has more sound effects and proper fullscreen images for all units (the FTP demo uses the Orc Warrior image as placeholder), as well as some fixes. This makes the demo around 2 MiB larger than its FTP c...

Yeah, also noticed that. What's more, sometimes it seems to log me off spontaneously when I open many tabs with different forum pages, and after that I get an error message about "invalid session" or something and have to reload the page. I think it's all because of how severely outdated the forum e...

Maybe something like Archon/Archon Ultra or Dark Legions?

By "looking better graphically", do you mean larger sprites than in Fantasy General, or better art style (or both)?

Also can you tell for certain if this was DOS or Windows?

Oh, there are actually quite a few fantasy turn-based games from the early 90s for IBM PC/DOS, including: Master of Magic Warlords and Warlords II Fantasy General Dominus Celtic Tales Realms If not one of those, try remembering more details and compare to the above (e.g. did you build or develop tow...

I've played around with FreeDOS in VirtualBox a while ago. The image file is something you need to create yourself, then mount it in VB, because it does not have direct access to the contents of your actual HDD (unlike DOSBox or Wine). I used a free CD burning utility to create the images, forgot wh...
