Actually I have W95 OSR2 (also known as W95b) and its plain crap and wondering if NT 4.0 was any better. The reason I thought it might be a W95 copycat is because they use the same interface. But for know I'm going stick with what I have now. Reason? NT 4 doesn't have support for FAT32 and wasn't bu...

IBM or Microsoft should release a special version of dos that is designed for gaming only. Maybe they would have if the 90's had lasted longer. The era of dos games seems to be coming to a close. I should have expected this from Microsoft. Leaving dos, their first creation, behind in the dirt and le...

Never mind. The game is working. I guess the problem was duplicate executable files. All fixed now.

Fully agree with that. It was only a reply to GameMaster.EXE 's statement, he give me the impression he consider Windows 3.1. as a full OS, concived for a 386 cpu. Or something..........hmmm. ;) Why the hell would I think that? Windows 3.1 needs dos just to show it's puny face!! I think what I was ...

Answers: 1) I looked in the hard drive and found some duplicate files of the executable (4d_prin.exe) one of the file that runs the game itself and two shortcuts. I deleted them. 2) I don't seem to have any problem with my unzipping program, Ken Wards Zipper. Before I unzipped the game I moved the z...

You got that right. I'm using a Windows 95 and it's unstable. Whenever I want to shut it down it freezes! If I were you, Dark Lord, I would get a Windows ME. Or at least Windows 98 SE. That way you don't have to worry about dosbox. Windows 2000? It's stable, but if you want to play dos games only, N...

I have Dial-up 56k and I hate it!

The subject line says it all! Dial-up is so damn slow! What would take a broadband user 1 minute to download something would take half an hour on mine! DSL is not available for my area, so I can't get faster service. The connection speed is like 21.1k on my computer and it can't get any worse! Who's...

I'm using a 486. 386 was the standard for Windows 3.1. It will be a matter of time before we see 586.
