Home of the Underdogs is the only abandonware-related site that we are allowed to link to here on this forum, so if you want to get abandonware from a site other than HOTU, I'm sorry to say that we can't help you here. (DOSGAMES.COM has been accused of copyright infringement before, and thus we are ...

DOS itself was released in 1981, so the 70 year old would have been around 46 when the OS first existed. However, DOS gaming would slowly grow from there, until its peak in the late 80s/early 90s. So, when DOS gaming would warm up to the mainstream, he would already be over 50. (not that seniors wou...

The keyboard driver provided inside Virtual PC may not be compatible with the keyboard routines within the game. Some games use their own independent method of handling the keyboard (like Indenture). Since you have no problem with other games, it would appear that Bioforge is programmed in such a wa...

I found that a tiny bit annoying too. But it appears emmzee added serious phpBB mods for some cool features, like that Online/Offline indicator below people's avatars.

Since phpBB is kinda delicate, I doubt this problem would or could be solved anytime soon.

Perhaps it will, but it won't be from lack of trying.

I thought it would be worth one more shot. If it fails, it fails. We can then live and let be.

But this might be our big break! Ya never know! :D

I think we all know there's only one person in the 'dosgames.com team', and asking what 'we' should do first is only disgruntling him and invoking his fiery wrath. Yes. The Great emmzee :o . But what I had in mind would be to make prototypes, and submit them to emmzee, and he can reject/change/add/...

The HX lacked SDRAM support (and it was a tad older) in spite of its superior performance.

Ok... If the CPU uses a 66 MHz bus, then the Super Socket 7 pretty much operates little different from the normal Socket 7, which also has a maximum bus speed of 66 MHz. Since the Super Socket 7 would no longer have the advantage of the 100 MHz bus, the 2 chipsets can then be compared for their arch...

Another idea just popped into my head: - For the game downloads that are linked to outside of our DOSGames local server, have a backup link to the game file directly on this server (make the offsite link front and center, then have the local server link in fine print like "If the above link is ...

The best way to go about this is to concentrate on one thing at a time.

What shall we start with first?

I'm sorry, but because of rule I.1.d, we can't give out a link to download the full version of Death Rally for free here on this forum. You would have to look elsewhere (or buy it from Apogee/3-D Realms).

Hi Rorie,

Yeah, even this forum, as popular as DOSGAMES.COM is, can get pretty sleepy at times.

Getting a popular forum is hard, especially since with the proliferation of free forums (like phpBB software and sites that offer free forums) there are zillions of forums out there.

If you can, try reducing the graphics detail, or try a lower resolution (in the game itself).
