that does sound specificly like HEROES of might and magic. Being you can only upgrade your town once per turn. Every week is when they fill the castles with units. Tavern always has heros you can recruit which is warrior/wizard generaly. Towns weren't really evil though minus the undead. I would gue...

not sure if "Games For Girls" is 16 bit or 32bit. I have family that asked me if i could find a way to get it to work on 64 bit vista. I'm going to have a look around. I'll change this post if I find a vista program that allows it to work. Or at least clames to.

That does sound like a game i've played. Does it have computers that scan your eyes to open doors. The guy who catches you if you don't hide is a robot?

if it had voices, could have been kings quest 6+ or maybe goblins quest? Goblins quest didn't have real talking, just kinda emotion sounds while the text was on screen.

sadly many stores are selling windows vista 64 bit ONLY. Most programs need windows license to work. Windows just strait up doesn't allow them to function with out a license. Least that's what i've been told. GL

Darklands is a great RPG, takes a long time to win. Plenty challenging Dragon lore is fairly nice with the graphic and interesting voices. It's more like a game like kings quest. Which brings me to the next cool dos game. Kings quest 5+, Goblin quest 2+. They usualy need hint guides but fun! You pre...

Wish the original poster told us if this is the talkie version or not. I've been able to solve all these problems once before, then have tried to play through again with all the patches and have it still mess up. It might be hit and miss. I know one problem consistant is towards the end of the game,...

sounds a lot like might and magic. The later ones made it so you can view the world map as you're moving around insted changing the way you're traviling. I only play might and magic 3 and 6. The food dependacy just reminded me of the game. The one you're looking for might be early versions

Sounds like Quest for Glory. Is it kind of a puzzle game? the most graphic of this series was Quest for Glory V but it wasn't the most fun. There were pixies and stuff but a lot of RPGs have them, as do they have castles.

It's too bad soundforge isn't freeware. It really doesn't take much knowledge to use this program. I honestly haven't tried your programs that you all recommend in this thread. I'd like to hear some feedback.

I've heard every advanced linux user has ubuntu. What has happen in this thread has happen to me befor, and i'm sure others. That's why the solution worked. I have forgotten how hard it is to get a CD-rom to work in DoS. There's so many issues that could make your CD-rom not work. Great thread on no...

I like this game though, it's worth keeping the topic alive. by now everyone should have found the game and walkthrough though. There are bugs and at the end it probably crashes. wouldn't mind finding a fix for that.

Yeah that second game could be anything. Not a lot of ice, but this was a car game with those colors. Rock and Roll Racing. That was a SNES game. The second game, is it DOS? Windows? I can think of other nameless games on PC that had ICE. Super mario all stars has lots of mario games with ICE. Again...

i'm hoping these games don't have PVP. I'm gonna check out wings 2 myself

wings2 is PVP it seems. =/

I've found another one, i don't think it's PVP. I looks like Sim City 2000. I haven't played it yet, but a ton of people are.
