Sorry if I didn't care to read the each post one by one, but who's got a 486 DX100 here?

I always wanted to get my hands on one since I tinkered with a IBM PC/XT some twenty years ago...

Well, because of the resurrection, I'd bet that the fanbase won't be limited to three anymore. I'll give the shareware a whirl.

I don't know, but Bloke's game seems even more interesting than Continuum though. And I've played SubSpace for quite a while. Novas and supernovas are something I'd like to see.

Loved that game, too. I believe the first of the series is now available for free from the author himself, though he still does accept donations for it.

Hmm...try Recreational Warfare then. But if you don't think the BFG is not one of the included weapons, well, perhaps it's not the game you're looking for. The BFG is the highlight of RecWar. It also sports UT commentary for multiple kills, two-player split screen gaming, network gaming, two-player ...

Hmm...if it's not Return Fire, then you might be thinking about the one that has Hovercrafts, Tanks and Jeeps and pits you on some hilarious game modes like Capture the Cow aside from the ordinary DM and TeamDM... Did weapons include a BFG and scatter bombs?

Thanks for all your suggestions. Apparently all the solutions have worked under certain conditions. VPC has grabbed the golden formula bag, however. I can finally run CyberMage in all glorious high resolution 640 x 400 with high resolution animations and sound, and it runs smoothly, too. It does hav...

Ooohh...VPC. I've downloaded SP1 of this enigmatic software but never got round to actually installing it. Perhaps it's because I don't know exactly what it does to "virtualize" a different operating system "instance". Heh heh. ^_^ Online resources are rather vague on how it work...

CyberMage: Darklight Awakening

I finally had the courage and initiative to open my game library (a closeted room where games are shelved) and began to rebuild a new inventory list while resorting each genre by age (and preference by favoritism ^_^ ). Until I came across the dominantly green box of this oldie-but-a-goodie. It may ...

Aha! I remember now! NetStorm: Islands at War. Great game that. It's not a DOS game though. I might check the library if I got the game or not...or maybe I played the demo.

Well, anyway, hope that's what you're looking for. Because that "sacrifice priest" was a sure dead giveaway. ^_^

Tough game to find...and I'm just talking about the demo. Fury3 is even harder (and yes, I'm still talking about its demo). I think I may have both demos archived in the local network's file storage, but that's gigabytes to sort through. Hellbender was the first of the Terminal Velocity-like games t...

You took off from a carrier in a helicopter that is equipped with bombs and a gun flying over islands taking out anti-aircraft point defenses... Hmm...sounds like Raid on Bungeling Bay to me.

Kings Quest. Well, one of them. If the "washed ashore" scene still stands, I think that's Kings Quest V or IV. Great game. Silly antics too. ^_^

Was it made by Sierra? I'll try going out on a limb here and guess that the game you're looking for had this space-suited guy jumping around with the ability to morph into a flyer and needed to refuel his pack in order to be able to use it for prolonged periods, eh? Kinda like that? If so, perhaps y...

Zork: The Underground Empire. I think you never feed the troll. You slice it up with the Elven sword of unequaled antiquity you find inside a trophy room. ^_^ And then wish to the high heavens that the next room isn't occupied by that thief.
