Hmm... I might have played something like this once upon a time... cant't recall a name yet though.. Was it like you flew against the center of the screen or what do you mean by vertically? The game I remember was kind of a simplistic 3D-view of sorts and the platform you rode on was like hanging in...

Bonkheads perhaps? Not a DOS game though. It features two trolls - Grag & Thog. Their mission is to save trollesville from the regular animals. Starting at surface level with dogs and racoons which you must bump from below to make them "sleep". Later on you meet wasps, spiders and more...

Robot fighting game EDIT: Never mind - "Metal Masters&q

Found the game... Metal Masters... I played a game at a friends house a long time ago. I am not sure, but it could have been on his Atari ST. What I remember is that you fought with giant robots. First you had to choose parts and build a robot. You could put hammers as fists and more. I am not sure,...

This sounds alot like "Warlords" and the first in the series - The evil black guy's name was "Lord Bane"

Should be rather easy to find on google. I think there is a rather new game in the same series whick will show up first though.

Command & Conquer? Could it be that easy?

You are not in actual space though, but rather on a different planet than Earth. Tiberia?

It might be "Mega Race". I never played the first, but managed to complete "mega race 2" wich in my opinion was a great game. And the crazy tv host's name was Lance Boyle if I remember correctly. - And accompanied by a pretty lady in pink bathing suit?

How is it with dynablaster? It can't play with four players if you dont't have joysticks connected, or is this just a crowded-at-the-keyboard issue? If the latter, you could use the "JoyToKey" program and just use regular usb joysticks/gamepads.

Never played it, but there is a game called "Aaargh!" from 1988.
Try googling for it.

Dosbox seems to support it.

I have had trouble starting this game for some months... five minutes after above post I had it working in dosbox, but with quite a strain on the cpu it seems - but it worked - just had to give it 65k memory... Are there any other solutions than dosbox? Cause it's very slow and demanding in...

Ata - Extracts from the american Civil War

This game is probably very hard to get wo work on a modern computer or so the creators say at their homepage, but I thought someone of you might have got it started with dosbox or other solutions? The game is a newer version of the classic north vs south, although ata is old also. http://badgers.tim...

You can suggest it. :) Actually - the computer I played on is still in my family, so I could use it, but here in my appartment there is no room for another computer. Even if that computer is small ("SE", not "classic"). The computer is located at the familys summer house for now....

By stuff, you mean info about it? Troubleshooting and such? I agree. :)

Still strange why executor shows 2 colors as an option, when it's not possible to switch to it. Perhaps if I switched to another version of the OS... I think I used 6.0.7 now... But that should handle 2 colors right?

Rogue, or Moria perhaps?
It's like a rpg and every graphic in the game are made up of different symbols, like #, @, _, % etc.. - I think the right description is ASCII-graphics?

There are alot of ports to theese. and probably clones. (Moria might be derived from Rogue.)

Actually, thast might not be impossible even if unlikely. Say, you played win games for ten years or something. You play say 5 hours 300 days a year that is 300*5*10=15000 hours. If you are a gamer extraordinaire as larry claims to be - five hours might be too little a day. :D Anyway - I have no ide...

Executor - Mac emulator

Does somebody have some experience with the mac emulator "Executor"? I am trying to run a game which requires black & white, but the latest version doesn't seem to be able to switch to 2 colors. ( The option is greyed out in the prefs ) Might this be a problem in XP? I also downloaded ...

Not tested the usb-support myself, but I created a bootcd from "barts boot cd" which claims to have usb support. I can't seem to find any info on that on his webpage though, but the config.sys gives you a choice of "USBHD" - not sure if that helps if you want a joystick though. I...
