Cool! I'll have to try this out. Quick question. How does one send data to the Adlib card? Is it as simple as sending the data to the Adlib port? Thanks!

@dr_st

SMART gives me a false error report here on my pc with DOS installed. So I disable it.

As for 2GB. This is for older Microsoft DOS only installs. Windows 98 deals with this in its own way. I don't use FreeDOS or anything other than Microsoft.

You can run DOS on just about anything. With or without a hard drive. I like DOS 5.0 and can just boot it up from my floppy A:\ drive. I then just swap my floppy out for what ever game I want to play. Some games require a hard drive install. 1.) If your mobo supports SMART for your hard drive, you'l...

I'm not sure at the moment. I'm not at that pc.

I did end up getting the AGI version off ebay for pretty cheap. So I'll be playing that version now. :D

KQ4 Disk Files

I have King's Quest from www.gog.com. I would like to play King's Quest IV SCI on my Tandy 1000 HX. I just don't know what files were on disk 1, disk 2, and so forth. Anyone have these disk and could list the files on each disk?

Ski or Die 3.5 Disk

Ski or Die was available for DOS but can't seem to find a copy on Ebay nor Amazon? Is there any other place to purchase old DOS games?

Maybe the DOS version didn't sell well in the US?

I recently found how to run this game without the entering your name glitch and running at normal speed. 1.) Insert MS-DOS 5.0 disk into the A: drive. 2.) Start your computer. 3.) No need to install DOS. Just cancel the install. You'll see the A> prompt now. 4.) Take out the MS-DOS disk and insert t...

Re: God, I love tacos, is number one!hehe

Did you know I tried programming the Apple platform once? I got half way through the programming tutorial and just gave up because I couldn't understand iPod, iPad, and Mac programming. No worries. Apple's Cocoa language is confusing. Most confusing language I've ever read. Apple does offer a new l...

Someone uploaded it on a forum but it looks like a mod removed the download link. Maybe if you sign up on that forum and PM the guy, he might still have it. Looks like it was a few years ago. Worth a shot though.

Thanks CPT Worm, pseudocoder and tien! I've already been programming for over a decade. Have a few apps on the Mac App Store too. I'm just coming back to what I enjoy the most. That being pixel art, animation and games. I enjoy the limitations and prefer to play games where I can use some of my imag...

I think I'll make something simple first. It won't be DOS compatible as I'm still reading tutorials for QuickBASIC. It will be optimized though for older hardware and written in PureBasic. ;)
