Seems the developer is still making things today, so who knows, maybe I'll see Real Golf VR soon?

Yup it's Real Golf :) The realgolf.exe search was what really helped! http://games.softlookup.com/download.asp?id=4260 Which pointed me in the direction of the domain, www.realgolf.com which I could then find through web.archive.org http://web.archive.org/web/19981203113945/http://www.realgolf.com/a...

3D Polygonal Golf Game for Windows [RealGolf]
In my head it's called "Real Golf" but I can't find it. It was on Windows, not DOS. It's a 3d flat shaded polygonal Golf game where you can use the mouse to perform your swing. "One to one" is not the right term, but it wasn't just a swing back and swing forward affair, you could...

My god, this is a tough game, tougher than I remember. I've no idea how I managed to get to the Snap Dragon when I was 7-8 years old??? It seems like receiving any strike from an enemy means at least 700 damage (put it this way, you start with 50). I'd suggest that there must be some sort of calc is...

Via confirmation from a different thread ( http://www.dosgames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19739 ) it is in fact called Rear Guard and was a free game released on the PC Plus Super Disk 49 (October 1990)

That's brilliant :D I remember looking through PC Plus as a kid and flicking through until I found a mention of a game or something. (Seemed like games were only 2% of the magazine back then1) I see from your disks the mention of the game snake, man that was a great version of the snake game. That's...

That's absolutely amazing! :D:D:D Thank you so much for finding it Vyothric, that's the one. Quite glad I remember the details (even if I did get the CGA colours wrong!) It seems quite a few of my early game memories come from the PC Plus Super Disk Vyothric, I don't suppose there's any chance you c...

I played it on an Amstrad PPC 512 running MSDOS 3.3 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PPC_512) From what I recall, and I might be wrong, the whole level was one screen big, I couldn't tell you exactly how many tiles in width and height it was, but it couldn't have been many. It's not exactly the same, b...

Sweevo's World looks quite similar to it actually! though the one I am thinking of is much much simpler. Again, Alien 8 looks similar but once again is way more complex looking than the game I remember. I remember the walls of each screen being a row of brick posts. Also there were conveyor belt sty...

Top down monochrome rogue like [REARGUARD]
Hi all (again!, only just found this place and have plenty of games I can remember but not name!). Ok... I recall it being called Rearguard (probably isn't though) It's black and white. Rogue like game play and simple game graphics (not ASCII, but simple) I *think* it may have come with the magazine...

Isometric CGA Dos game [CORBA COMMANDO]
Hi all, I recall it being called cobra command (but it isn't) it's a DOS game CGA (Red, Blue and Yellow with black background I recall) I recall on the main menu (black screen with two options) you use the cursor keys to move the cursor and the left shift (right shift didn't work) to confirm your se...
