1990s Win/DOS battleship game

Thanks for the update, it is a fan-made version of 'Depth Charge', released as freeware in 1994, by Japanense developer Bio_100%, who almost exclusively makes freeware. It does not currently have a Mobygames entry, but I'll try to submit one ASAP. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptUcP85m9j8 edit: Th...

1990s Win/DOS battleship game

There was an arcade game called 'Depth charge' which was ported to various platforms; the DOS version was in ASCII only though. Maybe there were similar clones for Windows with more color? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depthcharge https://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/depth-charge___ Some variants: htt...

80s Side scroll ball planet game (WizBall)

Cool, the player is a ball but also a wizard (in the back-story), so it could fit into the 'blob' group IMO.

There was a recent updated version too I note.

Clay humanoid like creatures fighting (around 2005)

Looks like it could be Gruntz, as Strudel wrote: https://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/gruntz They are animated, not clay figures though. One of the weapon descriptions seem to fit with the OP:s straws: Goober Strawz are giant plastic strawz that are used by Gruntz to suck up Goo Puddlez and to wha...

80s Side scroll ball planet game

Eh, the link to Bumpy that I gave *is* for the DOS version, you must have missed that. Anyway, the thing about Mobygames entries are that all information comes from gamers, and what platforms are listed also is submissions from what people can find - it is not uncommon to have old games missing plat...

Some more details from the OP would be good, but meanwhile look at these lists: 157 math educational games for DOS: https://www.mobygames.com/browse/games/educational/m,43/dos/ only 6 games in the same category for PC booter: https://www.mobygames.com/browse/games/educational/m,43/pc-booter/ As for ...

Maybe something in the 'protagonist blob' group?

'bumpy' seems a likely candidate, but there are others.

Serial Cable on COM1 vs COM2 using IR

There seem to be some variants of IR protocols, and it can be a bit finicky getting the light pointing right. The speed should be able to go to normal serial speeds, like 115kBaud I think, but I'm not sure if it worked full duplex; but then I've never tried hooking up two laptops using it (I used it...

90s ocean-based education game that is driving me nuts

This is one of two games the developer 'Chariot Software' made in the 'Eco Adventures' series, both were available in DOS & Mac (68k) versions, in 1991-93. They only sold these to schools what I gather (probably only in the US) so the likelyhood of finding a legit copy for sale is also slim, if ...

Since you did not mention the platform, DOS is assumed.

A bug eating game from 2011-13?

Not sure; assuming the creature is supposed to be a frog - in 'Frog Fractions', the gameplay kind of fits, but the frog is lifelike and not with a beard...
