DOS Games Discussion

I have Windows 98, and asked about 20 times how to get sound Guest. Nothing worked. VDM Sound is for Windows XP and the one for Windows 98 doesn't seem to exhist anymore.

DOSBox doesn't work either.

Nope, no one can help you. I don't have any sound in DOS and I have Windows 98, and no one gave me an answer that worked.

At least you guys get VDM Sound. I have Windows98, no sound in DOS games, and VDM Sound isn't for 98. So I get no sound in games and I've just given up and uninstalled all the DOS games I had.

No, I am on my home computer. Descent is working but it runs terribly slow and I still have no sound.

Ok, I got Descent to work, but it is running very slow and I STILL have no sound on it.

I'm not sure what to do next. Here is the line on DOSbox

Z:\>MOUNT C C:\Games5\Descent
Drive C mounted as local directory C:\Games5\Descent\

Will DOSbox help me out with 98? I downloaded it but I don't know how to use it...

I have Windows 98 and a Crystal WDM Audio sound card. I get no sound in Descent, and they do not have my sound card on the list. When I have it search for my sound card, it terminates the program. How do I get sound?

I have absolutely no sound in Descent. My sound card is not on the list that the game has, and when I try to have it search for the card, it terminates the program. No music, no sound, nothing.
