CD-Man 1.5 full-version; does this exist, or is it a myth?

Gagster wrote: I suppose there's no way without access to the original source-files of the game to change the actual sprites in the game?
There always is, but you need someone with experience in hacking to do so. The noob method, as you described it, rarely works.

CD-Man 1.5 full-version; does this exist, or is it a myth?

Obviously not... Below is the relevant excerpt from the Skyroads X-Mas trainer manual (circa 1994). Creative Dimensions is the company that developed CD-Man (hence the name) and was also responsible for distribution of Blue Moon's Skyroads in North America. CREATIVE DIMENSIONS Product Info 1994 CD-M...

CD-Man 1.5 full-version; does this exist, or is it a myth?

That's an interesting question and the answer is 'I don't know'. Also, from reading the manual of CD-MAN 2.0 I learned that supposedly there was another version, branded 'Chewit', which was a promotional release, sold with, well 'Chewits' candy. That version was supposedly identical to 2.0 but had t...

early 2000s Racing games with bonuses

Well, you mentioned a yellow Mitsubishi. Perhaps a good place to start is the following video which shows the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution in 20 different racing games:

DOS 2D versus fighting game

Sounds like a demo version of some Street Fighter variant. Maybe Super Street Fighter II Turbo (but the backdrops don't quite match), maybe some Street Fighter Alpha/Zero variant (did they ever make them for DOS???)

So happy to hear that. :bday: You know, I myself played this game more than 2 decades ago on some counterfeit NES clone; then, years later, I was also looking for it, not knowing the name, and someone on a NES forum helped me out. What are the odds of someone looking for the exact same thing, eh? :D...

In Tokkyuu Shirei Solbrain (a.k.a. Shatterhand) you collect alpha and beta items, but not gamma. It's an ancient NES game. It's not really in space either. Is that it?

Well, there are quite a few Wolf3D clones out there. The ones I know off the top of my head is 'Blake Stone: Planet Strike', Corridor 7, Operation Body Count (though the latter is less likely to be the game you are looking for).

I wouldn't bother with Duke Nukem I, but Duke Nukem II is cool. You can also try Bio Menace if you are into rather hard platformers with tons of secrets. Earthworm Jim (1 & 2) is nice. For a slightly different platformer/puzzle combo games - Prince of Persia (1 & 2), The Lost Vikings, and Blackthorn...

Could it have been Battle City for the NES, played via an emulator?

There is a Windows clone, called just "Tank":

Re: Finding .img files for MS-Dos games

So I've been goofing around with running MS-Dos 6.22 in Virtual Box and have been having a lot of trouble finding .img game files. Getting games to play in DosBox has been really easy but I want a more authentic experience. "Authentic" as in "VirtualBox"? No, you don't. Trust me, you don't. You wil...
