Guest spam crap

Post by emmzee » Sun Jul 06, 2008 10:39 pm

Okay I installed another mod today, it forces guest posters to enter a visual CAPTCHA (confirmation) before posting. Hopefully that'll eliminate the stupid spam we've been getting lately. If not, I may just have to turn off guest posting ... we'll see.

The thing that irks me is that they guys that made the spam bots didn't even take time to do them... I mean, the latest attack uses relative links... ("./_____.html"). What where they thinking? Waste of time... If you're gonna do something, you should at least do it right.
