Micro Machines received good reviews upon its original release, especially for the NES. The concept is that you are racing the tiny "Micro Machine" brand cars around typical locations like a table, where items like pencils and notebooks become huge obstacles on the race track. The PC version features fast and furious gameplay along with decent aesthetics. The action may be too frantic, actually, since it's difficult to control your car. I'm not exactly sure what speed the original game is supposed to run at, but at any speed, navigating the course is challenging, especially when the computer opponents don't seem to have any trouble with it!
