Imperium Rex is a turn-based textmode strategy game for up to three players where the goal is to become the victorious empire, slaughtering the other empires vying for the title of supreme emperor of Earth! Or something like that. Using semi-futuristic weapons because this all takes place in the (near?) future. This game uses edited textmode characters to present a novel look. I am not personally a fan of these games but it appears to be decently put together, however it does require substantial investment to figure out how things work. You'll need to run REXEDIT.EXE to begin with to set up a game, then run REX.EXE to play. The REX.DOC file contains necessary instructions to teach you how to play.
